Thanks to a few Facebook links forwarded by family members, I got a look at a photo from the Rockland Historical Society.
Here's what they wrote on Feb. 28:
The 1922 Rockland High School girls state champion basketball team. They finished the season with a perfect record of 12-0 and outscored their opponents 430-20! Among the opposing teams were Brunswick, Bangor, Hallowell and Skowhegan. Pictured from the top, left to right: Agnes Flanagan, Dorothy Breen, Coach William J. Sullivan, Kathleen Blethen, Clemice Blackington, Helen Griffin and Eileen Flanagan.
Here's what they wrote on Feb. 28:
I think Aunty Ag, Agnes Flanagan Fleagle, stands in the rear behind the coach. Her sister Eileen holds the basketball in the bottom of the picture.
